01Research overview
The Genome Biology Division provides genomic and epigenomic analysis for clinical research and research using model organisms.
We have developed and operate standard, as well as specialist, genomics technologies for highly limited and high value sample analysis, and make these methods available to a broad range of collaborative research projects.
Noteable projects included mouse and human experiments aboard the International Space Station, genome-epigenome analysis of biobanking clinical (cancer) samples, and automation of laboratory processes by Labdroid (automated robot) “Maholo”.
We also manage a genomics analysis platform with Tsukuba i-Laboratory (http://www.tsukuba-i-lab.com/), which produces RNAseq, ChIPseq Exome and gene panel analysis for either internal and external users. Through these activities, we provide imporant genomics services to the our collaborative research community and also train new generations of highly skilled and creative scientists who can contribute their world class skills for betterment of science and society.
