01Research Overview
We aim to implement evidence-based disease prevention measures in society through epidemiology, public health, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Even when effective primary and secondary prevention strategies are established, their impact remains limited unless adequately implemented. For example, in Japan, low HPV vaccination rates in certain age groups have led to increased abnormal findings in cervical cancer screening, and periodic rubella outbreaks have occurred among generations that missed vaccination opportunities.
We conduct interviews and questionnaire surveys with various stakeholders to address these challenges and analyze the factors that promote or hinder preventive behaviors.
Additionally, disseminating research findings through social networks and media is a key mission in our efforts toward social implementation.

01研究概要
私たちは疫学、公衆衛生学、および学際的アプローチを駆使して、エビデンスに基づいた疾病予防策の社会実装を目指します。
エビデンスが確立した一次予防策や二次予防策が存在していても、実社会で人々の利用が進まなければ、予防効果は発揮できません。たとえば、日本でHPVワクチン接種割合が低い世代で子宮頸がん検診の有所見割合が増加したり、風疹ワクチン接種機会がなかった世代で周期的に風疹流行が発生したりしています。
そこで私たちは、各種ステークホルダーを対象としたインタビュー調査や質問票調査を行い、人々の予防行動の促進要因・阻害要因を分析しています。
更に、ソーシャルネットワークサービスやメディアを通して研究成果の発信に努めることも、社会実装を目指す私たちの重要なミッションと考えています。
